DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
• Creating collaborative demand plans by understanding the forecasts, sales figures and seasonal demand, whilst closely liaising with customers
• Using current information to predict customer demand, providing the supply chain an efficient / cost effective plan to meet customer needs
• Reviewing forecasts and any demand influencers to recommend adjustments for forecasts
• Processing orders from customers, ensuring enough stock availability to meet delivery schedules
• Maintaining demand planning reports / systems by reviewing historical sales trends
• Dealing promptly with customer and stock enquiries
• Involvement in planning and introduction of new products, liaising with other departments
• Lead inventory strategies for existing products, new products and slow-moving obsolete stock
• Raising enquiries for new and existing customers, following up quotations
• Dealing with customer enquiries which often have practical & mechanical elements to them
Skills Required
• At least 2 years’ experience within a demand planner or forecasting role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• Very analytical with good mathematical background especially in statistics to analyse data
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be fully conversant with MS office
• You will need to be articulate, confident and persuasive with initiative to work on your own

We recently had a visit from West Vale Academy's Year 6 class to teach them all about the diverse career opportunities in manufacturing and the importance of cardboard as a sustainable material.
