We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join our Stock Control team. You will be managing the expectations of the customer, whilst working closely with planning, transport, and production to ensure that stocks are kept at an acceptable level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the total product supply chain from forecasting to discontinuation of products, with the main focus being customer service and achievement of stock availability targets.
  • You will manage and nurture your own customer base. This will involve maintaining service levels through excellent communication skills when liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments, ensuring stock holding targets are constant.
  • Monitoring and reporting on slow moving stock so that appropriate action can be taken quickly and effectively. You will also need to make sure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
  • Adopting a highly logical approach will be crucial in this role, as you will need to interrogate any stock discrepancies and investigate through to resolution.

Skills Required

  • At least 2 years’ experience within a demand planner or forecasting role.
  • Experience of managing a number of relationships both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain.
  • Defining and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent team worker, but equally adept at working alone.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
