JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Production Planner who will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the Production department by planning machines efficiently. They will also provide an important link between sales and production, whilst building and maintaining good relationships with key suppliers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with key suppliers on a daily basis and building lasting relationships
  • Working closely with the Sales Team to meet customer requirements
  • Working closely with Production to ensure all plans are met
  • Using knowledge of the production process and machine capabilities to analyse manufacturing orders and create production schedules
  • Release jobs into production, track orders and production information
  • Make schedule/production changes where needed and report progress to line managers
  • Compare production activity against production plans and adjust schedules accordingly

Skills Required

  • Experience in scheduling or similar role if possible although full training will be provided
  • Experience in corrugated manufacturing would be hugely beneficial
  • Experience in manufacturing background
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Must be well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate time management skills
