JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Production Operatives to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be proactive team players and have experience working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.

Attention to detail is a crucial skill to be able to maintain the strict customer standards that are required. This role is on a continental shift pattern, working both days and nights.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • First and foremost, understanding and complying with all Health & Safety rules
  • The machine operator has full responsibility for the overall operation of the machine, and you will support him / her during the day to day running of activities
  • You must proactively help the machine operator during the setup of jobs
  • It will be your responsibility to ensure all flat sheet board fed into the machine you are assigned to, meets customer expectations
  • Once trained, you should understand what checks to do before and during production and perform them at a reasonable frequency. These include, but are not limited to:
    • Board quality, Feed orientation, Print quality and position, Bundle quantity
  • Communication with your team is paramount and any issues must be addressed in a timely and clear manner
  • You and your machine crew will assist each other to achieve production targets and keep your machine running at optimum efficiency
  • The machines undergo a weekly maintenance program and once fully trained you will take part in this
  • Understand customer palletisation requirements

Skills Required

  • Excellent understanding of health and safety instructions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures in the corrugated industry or similar.
