JOB DESCRIPTION

Training is an integral part of day-to-day operations at Sheard Packaging, and we are looking for a Training Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the training department by communicating with participants and training providers, as well as assisting with developing the most effective training programs. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and sometimes work under pressure. You should also enjoy problem-solving and be able to demonstrate strong project management skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Create procedures and processes for training and development, as well as develop effective training programs and associated documents.
  • Carry out gap analysis of all employees’ skill sets and plan how to close gaps with relevant job specific training.
  • Maintain training records such as trainee lists, training schedules, attendance sheets, and certificates.
  • Administration tasks associated with training including, but not limited to, generating new starter training documentation and creating operator training packs.
  • Book training rooms and ensure they’re properly set up ahead of any training sessions.
  • Act as a point of contact for training providers and participants.
  • Continuously build the training module within Cascade HR Management System.
  • Participate in creating and then implementing Machine Operator training programs –
    • Ensure training justifications have been completed and approved by the relevant personnel.
    • Make sure training review meetings are planned and carried out in a timely manner, to ensure trainee operators have every opportunity to succeed.
  • Assist with Succession planning.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety Manager, ensuring all mandatory safety training is facilitated and recorded.
  • Assist in the Induction process and carry out regular new starter reviews.
  • Create and submit reports on training activities and results.
  • Be responsible for considering and facilitating all other ad-hoc training requirements and requests throughout the business.

Skills Required

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise varying workloads.
  • Confident in delivering presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Training role.
  • Preferable if you have experience working in manufacturing.
